Mark Other Cars.
At the Assist Screen in Quest Mode, press L & R to toggle the Other Car Mark just before begging the race.
Maximum Speed Display.
At the Assist Screen in Quest Mode, press Y just before begging the race. A sound effect will confirm correct code entry.
Alternative replay view.
At the post-race screen, hold L + R and press A to select the "Replay" option to view the replay from behind your car.
Never log a loss.
Press Start and return to the main menu if your car is going to lose a race. The game will not mark your opponent as the winning car.
Extra Parts.
After beating Quest Mode, you will unlock extra parts under MUFFLERS and AERO. Muffler #7 will now be selectable. 1 Extra Wing is also added.
Race as 2000 Toyota Celica.
Once you unlock the Dodge Viper, use it to beat 100 straight opponents in Quick Race Mode. Once you do this, the 2000 Celica will be available to race with.
Car Type 930.
To get car type 930, you must first beat the four Devas, all the other cars, and the four Devils. Note that sometimes you must race on the opposite track in order to find them all.
Honda S2000.
Defeat the all cars from The Four Devos team at the end of quest mode to successfully complete the game. The Honda S2000 may be purchased at the car shop in the next game. Additionally, the Rival 138-141, Type-515, and Type-AP1 cars will be unlocked.
Porsche 911.
Unlock the Honda 2000. Defeat the other death cars in quest mode and successfully complete the game. The Porsche 911 may be purchased at the car shop in the next game.
Old Datsun (head Boss).
Race and win 200 quick races in a row to unlock the old Datsun.
Four Devas car.
Once you have defeated a Four Deva, you will be able to purchase his/her car in the shop.
Free Cars (Japanese version only).
First you have to have enough money for the car you want. When you are putting in your licence plate number, press Y to get a random number. If you get all 7's your car is free. If you don't get all 7's, then press B and try again. If you don't get a 7 on the last one, all you have to do is select "No" when they ask you if you wat the car. Then you can go back and press Y again.
How to get the Type-530 (last car).
Go into the QR mode and win 100 races without leaving the QR mode. It takes about 2 hours. After you win 100 races, go into the quest mode, load up your game and buy the last car for $30,000.

Get all secret cars.
Once you beat all of the 4 Devas and 4 Devils in quest mode, all of their cars will be available. You can purchase Midnight Cinderella's car (the one with the flames on the sides), Zero's car, the Porsche 911, Exhaust Eve's car and the Type-JZABOD (It has racing stripes). Other cars are Raven Blood's car (It has his logo on the hood), Grim Reaper's car, the Type R-34, and even a different Porsche. It looks cool, but it was driven by one of the groups' masters, not one of the elite 8. If you wait until the end of the game, you can buy a car the exact same model as Ravens, but it is possible to change the color and the logo isn't there. Tip: once you get Raven Blood's car, buy it and build on it. It becomes the best car in the game.
Free car (Japanese version).
Earn enough money to purchase the desired car. Then when selecting a license plate number, press Y to get a random selection. If all numbers turn out to be "7", that car will be free. Press B for another attempt if those numbers did not appear. Answer "No" when asked if you want the car to start again.
Flaming RX-7 (Japanese version).
Defeat the Midnight Cinderella. Then, buy car Type-FD and do not change any of the letters for the license plate. Enter "dot-1-3-5" as the license plate number. If you entered the code correctly, you will hear a sound.
Striped Supra (Japanese version).
Defeat Exhaust Eve. Then, buy car Type-JZA80 and pick the Japanese symbol three spaces to the right. Enter "dot-1-3-9" as the license plate number. If you entered the code correctly, you will hear a sound.
Crimson Demon Skyline (Japanese version).
Defeat every car. Then, buy car Type-R34 (it will be unlocked after completing the game) and pick the Japanese symbol ten spaces to the right. Enter "dot-1-3-8" as the license plate number. If you entered the code correctly, you will hear a sound.
Make a innocent vehicle hit your rival.
As you are racing in Quest Mode flash your high beam lights at an innocent car and sort of hit it on its side. This will enable the innocent car to hit the rival you are racing.
How to make an easy pass.
At the begining of a race your car and the rival car are in two different lanes. The lane you start in is yours. During the race if a rival gets in your lane shine your lights on him. This will cause him to break and you can speed by him.
