Look Before You Switch.
Beware many Secrets in the Last Revelation can be made inaccessible by throwing switches. Before manipulating any objects, make sure you have thoroughly searched all available areas first.
Corner Shimmy.
Lara has a new move; when she grabs a ledge and shimmies along it, she can now shimmy around corners. It's easy to pull off, just grab a ledge like normal with the action key and continue shimmying with the directional keys until Lara goes around the corner.
Camera Hints.
A new camera-lock gimmick is helpful in directing you to otherwise obscure solutions: When Lara walks into a room and her view fixes on something, you should get the hint. Whenever the camera swerves to another focus (regardless of what you do with the controls) take note of what it's pointing at.
Shooting Gallery Cheats.
If you don't have the revolver yet when you get to the shooting gallery, start with the grenade launcher. Jump straight up and shoot. This should knock out seven or eight targets. Then use the crossbow with laser sight to knock out the rest (you only need nine out to continue).
Lost Library's Mechanical Men.
The mechanical men in the Lost Library can be killed. The key is to find their vulnerable spots. (Hint: Diamonds aren't forever). If you're having trouble aiming just right, you can usually run away, but at least one particular man must be killed.
Motorcycle Long Jumps.
You will need a nitro booster on your motorcycle to get into several important locations in the City of the Dead and the Chambers of Tulun. However, you won't find the parts for the nitro booster until you reach the Citadel Gate and Trenches levels. If you have to make a long jump in the earlier levels, move on to other locations and come back once you get the nitro booster. Then press the sprint button to let you do a make a longer jump on the motorcycle.
No Red Cape Required.
Not all of the creatures you'll encounter during the game are meant to be killed. The bulls you'll find on several levels can hurt you if you let them, but they can also open up new paths for you.
Escape the Beetles.
The swarms of beetles in Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation cannot be killed, but they can eat your health very quickly. You can carry a lit torch to keep most of them away from you, but there are many things Lara can't do when she's holding a torch. If you run into the beetles, you're usually better off just looking for a way out. Keep moving, and you will eventually reach a location that the beetles can't, often at the top of a pole or ladder.
Turning on all the switches in the Star Room in the Lost Library.
First, start at the switch across from the reset pad. Face the reset pad and number each switch starting with the one you are at as "1" and then going left, 2, 3, 4, up to 7. Then, activate the switches in the following order: 1, 3, 2, 7, 5, 4, 6.
Save health packs.
You can save health packs by going to a different level, then coming back for health because the levels are so numerous and close together.
Save Explosive Ammunition.
Save explosive ammunition (grenade launcher, Cross Bolt, etc.) for tougher opponents when fighting the skeletons by using the shot gun against them. Get the skeleton between you and a ledge and blast it. The skeleton will fall off the ledge and cease the exist. Since shot gun ammo is more prevalent in the game than the explosive ammunition, this will allow you to save it times when there are no ledges to help.
Killing the red ninjas.
Shoot at them. When they start spinning their blades, put up your gun, bring it out, and start shooting. When your gun is put up, the ninja will begin to stop spinning his blade and will not start spinning for a few moments. This gives you enough time to blast him.

Lara the Swinger.
Look up often to check for special textures that Lara can hold onto; there are a lot more monkey-swinging areas in The Last Revelation than there were in Tomb Raider 3. You can probably climb any texture that even remotely looks like a ladder, so keep an eye out for horizontal lines that resemble rungs.
Aim First, Ask Questions Later.
Lara has better eyes than you do. Draw your guns before walking into a dark area. If there are any enemies there, she will automatically aim in their direction, even if you can't see them yet.
Cheat Mode.
Have Lara face exactly north and enter the inventory screen. Highlight the "Small Medipack", then press L, Up, X, Up, R, Y. All weapons, unlimited ammunition, and unlimited medipacks will be available. Note: Have her hang from any north-facing object to face in that direction easily.
Senet Losers Can Win, Too.
You don't have to win the senet game in the Tomb of Semerkhet to finish the level. If you lose the game, you will have to take a harder path to finish the level, but you will also be rewarded with the chance to find extra secrets. In fact, if you want to find all of the secrets in the game, you'll need to lose the senet game on purpose.

If you suspect you may have missed a chance to pick up some Uzis or are wondering when Lara will finally get her hands on a Crossbow, you can check this list. It shows where each weapon may first be found.

Extra Zoom.
Pressing the Crouch button will give you extra magnification after you use the Look key with the Laser Site.
Level 1 golden skull Locations.
At the beginning, take a left up the small ledge.
In the room where you make your first jump, drop down into the water and go in the middle of the water.
In the room with the where you have to make two more jumps, fall down at the beginning. Run to the far end and turn to the right.
In the next room where you have to swim -- swim down to the bottom in the center of the room where the floor goes down slightly. Note: There is also a small and large medipack in a back room which is also under water.
In the area with the two boars, go around to the back and find the exit. Do not go in. Instead, turn right and go forward.
In the room where the skeleton has been impaled with the spikes, take a right when you enter.
In the crawl space, go to the left when you enter it.
When you get to the area just past the place where you have to "dive though the gap", go to the right and past the railing. Note: When Lara gets all eight golden skulls she will chose a different, harder path when Von Croy asks her where she wants to go.
